There are so many different variations to making a green smoothie. In fact, I was never really a big fan of them. I’ve always wanted to try them ever since I’ve heard all of the health benefits. But, part of me couldn’t understand why would you drink your vegetables when you can make a simple salad. Until, one day I went to Smoothie King to order a green smoothie with kale. I didn’t like the taste of kale so I decided to substitute with spinach.

If you have been visiting my blog, you will see that I love my smoothies. Today I have a naturally delicious green smoothie recipe that tastes so deliciously sweet. Spinach is one of the best superfoods you can pack into your body. They contain essential nutrients to keep your body thriving. It also contains water which makes this veggie great for hydration. All of the other ingredients  in this smoothie is loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and minerals, and a good source of fiber. I like to add chia seeds to keep me filling full.

1 ripe banana
1/2 cup of pineapples
2 hand fulls of spinach
1/3 cup of water (Coconut water is good to use as well)
1 teaspon of cinannamon
1 tbsp chia seeds

Always wash your produce thoroughly before adding to the blender. First add your liquids.  Then, add the rest of your ingredients. The chia seeds is usually the last item I add. Blend to a smooth consistency which could take 45-60 seconds.

A green smoothie is the type you should drink once made. If not, please make sure you put it away in an airtight container.
